I was around my hometown of Blytheville and noticed this driving through the country. I never noticed it before. It looks like it could be legit, especially in the flatlands. Tell me what you think.

Why not? I believe the infamous and partially secret M-Wave near Montrose, Colorado is in an irrigation ditch and if you know anything about Montrose, it's in high desert country with only about 9" of rain a year!

That M-Wave is pretty sweet. I am sure this spot would probably get bumpin' after some heavy rain. I will have to keep an eye on it till I get back to the hills.

There was a play spot years ago in Arizona or maybe New New Mexico that was called the ditch. In your picture it looks like you shot it next to some kind of bridge.
It was in a similar drainage ditch type location. It was on the down stream side of a bridge and they bolted heavy duty metal tracks to the ceiling and concrete bottom. The they would wedge 2x4s or 4x4s against the track and then stack 2x8s against these pieces of 4x4s. This choked the flow and created a wave hole at the bottom. It was a very dynamic feature at around 350 CFS. Which is nearly impossible to find in a more natural environment, even professionally constructed features need more water. Anyway its just an idea.
Here are some pictures of that feature... nothing detailed sorry.

Looks to be stateline ditch. If so, it is a little retentive at higher water. Another pretty good spot is below the spillway structure at Payneway (Ditch 60).
