Description:
Yakima Racks sets the standard with the Yakima BowDown kayak rack (8004042). Includes all the features that make this j-cradle style of kayak rack the most popular on the market today, yet is now engineered to allow the upright j-style kayak cradles to fold down completely flat when not in use solving any overhead clearance issues and also dramatically improving aerodynamics and fuel efficiency! Simply turn the oversized knob and fold the Yakima BowDown kayak rack flat when not in use. The included universal mounts allow this kayak carrier to fasten directly to not only Yakima bars but also all styles of Thule Racks load bars, Inno Racks crossbars and virtually all factory rack cross bars too.

I decided I like stackers better for hauling multiple ww boats. I do like that they fold down; it makes getting in the garage possible.

I am interested in these. Would you include shipping in your sale price? You can send me a PM if you like. Thanks, Mikki

One set or both?
FYI, I only have 1 set of the tie down straps, but both sets of the bow/stern tie downs.

I do not have to have the bow and stern straps, just the tie down straps and one set of BowDowns. I have a 58" rack. A Mohawk solo sits on one side with Gunwale brackets and there is not enough room for a second boat(kayak) without using some type of J brackets to carry the boat at an angle. The boat I want to carry in addition to the canoe is a Wilderness Pungo 10'. Let me know if you think this set up would work. I will take the bow and stern straps if they are included in the price. Can always use straps. Thanks, Mikki
PS, Could you clarify for me, is the $100.00 price you are asking for one set of BowDowns or 2?

It is $100 a set. The first set sold gets the extra tie down straps (everything in the picture).
As for shipping, I would be willing to split the cost.

Ryan, Thank you for your reply. If you will check and see what the UPS rate is for shipment I will send you a check for the Bowdowns and 1/2 of the shipping. Thanks, Mikki
