This is from Pam Hendrick who heads this event:
"PADDLE FOR THE CURE, Sat Oct 22nd, launching at 7a from Burns Park boat ramp, paddling to the Broadway bridge by 8a to cheer on the runners and walkers. The 1st annual PADDLE FOR THE CURE was in 2004 and was just just some buddies from Ozark Outdoor Supply joining me as I paddled downriver to celebrate my 5th year as a survivor. It was cold and rainy and I did not expect them to show. They did, I cried the whole way and we took this photo and jokingly called it PADDLE FOR THE CURE. This is a rogue non-event, just a bunch of paddlers who go to the link below to donate and then join us. Bring your own boat, wear a Coast Guard approved PFD, and paddle 4 miles downriver. Wear pink, wrap your boat in pink, show support. This will be the 8th year! See ya there!!!"
Just passing on the info in case others are interested.
