SWR training

Post by adamm » Mon Sep 19, 2011 10:46 pm

I am interested in getting some formal training in swift water / whitewater rescue. Are there or will there be some courses held locally (within 4 or so hrs from NWA)? I am fairly new to whitewater paddling and I am looking for any opportunity to help better my skills and to be able to help others that are in need.

Adamm, the classes paddledog puts on are great and the lessons learned are invaluable. And, best of all, the one I attended took place locally.
Please keep me on your list, Steve.

FYI - Drew Armstrong from Memphis is holding a SWR class middle of October on the Spring River. There's a separate thread for it.

Can't agree with your avatar paddledog being Native American...Did the Europeans learn the native language or just kill off most everybody that helped them? Kinda like what goes around comes around but your life is safe :box:

BTW Kayak comes from a native "indian tribe" who never spoke english!
