Little Red access points

My girlfriend wants to paddle the Little Red in our rec boats sometime next weekend. Would someone please inform me of some access points and distances?

Plan B would be Remmel - Rockport.

Plan C would be Dragover . . . if it's doable these days.

Hey Lee,

Roger H. lives up there and is the authority on the river sections, current water levels to expect, etc. might pm him.
I have made one trip on the LR several years ago from Cow Shoals Access five miles or so on down to the Barnett Access (I think) at Hwy 110. If you float the LR and would like to take your girlfriend for a wonderful supper afterward, do consider Cafe Klasiers, it's right on the river across from the Hwy 110 access.

Dragover is and has been a no-go all summer, too low at 1.11ft. and way too warm...

We've been floating the five mile Remmel Dam section all Summer and will probably be someone out there again this weekend to shuttle with.

Best Regards
Jim

Winkley Shoals (Hwy 110) to Lobo Landing (make sure you hit the landing not the Access since you have to drag out) or Dripping Springs to Ramsey are your best bets. Dripping Springs is four miles from our house.

Cow Shoals to Winkley is short and nice if they are not generating but the drag-in to launch is a pain.

Would be glad to help with shuttle if available.

Roger
I work with Lee and gave him a tailwater map this morning.
Thanks for the added info.
I will take you up on the shuttle one of these days.

Lyle's shuttle is free! All others must pay in the coin of the realm!

I always thought it was just a hoot when Monty Python, and pals, were charged the sum of two shrubs, of course from a local shrubber, to proceed along the way... :D
Ah, the Seventies... :yahoo:
Best Regards
