I use to camp a lot in the Flatside area. That whole area is nice. South Fourche Campground would provide a good base camp for exploring. There are a couple of small lakes worth checking out.

This is from the NF website:
SOUTH FOURCHE: Convenient roadside campground on picturesque river. Scenic 7 Byway is a popular route for viewing colorful autumn foliage.

U.S. fee area for camping. Camping (6 units), picnic shelter, drinking water, vault toilet, fishing, and canoe access to river.

One mile south of Hollis, AR on Arkansas Scenic 7 Byway.
