Beaver Dam or ANYWHERE in NWA Thursday or Friday Aug 4-5??

Post by tomOzarkVideo » Wed Aug 03, 2011 2:32 pm

Any info on beaver release water? Looks like 8,000 cfs on thursday. Does anybody float that? I know there are some outfitters out there.

Anybody running ANYTHING?? I took three days off to work on my yard but it's too hot.
I just want to float.

Tom, no predictions but you might look at this http://www.flyflinger.com/fishingreport.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and roll down to look at water trends. Even off generation, it's cool water on a hot day. Generating, it's Cold Water, not difficult to navigate, but definitely want to have your head in the game and PFD secured. It's been a few years, but we always used the outfitter on top of the hill from the bridge, because you can float back to your car, which is on their property. They used to shuttle, also had canoes and rec yaks.

You definitely don't need an outfitter for anything if you have your own boat, and access to 2 cars... Much cheaper than the 'fitter. NO whitewater in there, guaranteed, no matter the level. So long as it's not a situation with trees coming down, which it won't be. Plenty o' trouties though!!!

Just make the trek down to Malvern and go to the Ouachita River. You can float down from the dam and then when you get to the ledge, you can play there till the water goes off!

Thanks for the info.. I'm really curious about the Beaver Dam run in odd droughts like this. Cold water sounds nice when it's 109 in the shade.. I loved my trip to Malvern a couple of weeks ago.

Boatball was a blast today!
