Spring River mid-week day trip?

Post by Wildwood » Fri Jul 29, 2011 7:02 pm

Is anyone up for a trip to Spring River Wednesday, August 3rd, Thursday the 4th or Friday the 5th? I'd like to avoid the weekend. Maybe make a quick trip up and float Dam #3 to Spring River Oaks. Or???

If I could get away from work, I'd be there in a heartbeat. I've always wanted to run the spring, but it looks like sundays are my only option. Oh well, have fun out there.

Cheapest I could find them on the net was $4.40 lb. Places here have them but waaayyyy over priced. I might try cooking some. trick is that they are 'flash fried' real quick in oil.

they're sweet arent they? the recipes i found were all for salty or spicy.

$13.04 a pound at Heber Springs. They aren't sweet, but not salty or spicy. Maybe just a little salt.
