Just wanted to get some locals outlook on the levels of the Buffalo this summer and predictions for this fall. Looking to do a 12 day float down to the White in mid September.
How are things holding up levels wise this summer?
How low is too low for weighted tandems??

We did this trip a couple of years back and had an incredible time with great water levels. Were were fortunate to have a BIG rain the night before we put on that flooded the river.

Thanks folks!

Without that big rain that we're all praying for, it's pretty much a no go for an extended trip. But, September is a ways off and there's always hope. You may already have this site http://ar.water.usgs.gov/buffaloriver/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but it gives current levels and if you click the gauge triangles, it'll give you the recommended levels, too.

Thanks...

Wondering if anyon can identify any significant rapids below Woolum. I remember 1 class 3 before entering the Wilderness section. Any others to note?? Would like to find a feature to camp at and practice on.
