Fissure ford swimming

Post by James » Sat Jul 09, 2011 6:22 pm

Can anyone tell me if there is a decent swimming place near the surf spot at Fishers Ford? I want to go play some, but I need a place for the wife and little ones to play in the water.

There is a gravel bar a few hundred feet downstream of the wave. However, you cannot really get to it by land without cutting through the field, which is private property and not recommended.

Yup the gravel bar below is best but I see people swim at the bridge put in sometimes.

Go when the water is low and it's nice and clear!
