This is just to let Dutch Oven Masters, Novices, and folks who would become Beginner Cooks know that the ACC will, once again for the... how many years??... time hold the great DO Cookoff at Rendezvous this Fall at Camp Couchdale. Yes... the competition is always tough. Yes, I will wait until the Day of DO to announce the judges. I will tell you that everyone, including those cooking for the first time, has the opportunity to win. But, now is the time to break out or buy a DO and get to thinking about your dish(es) and practicing to get on your game!! I understand that the ACC Rendezvous moguls have solicited for some pretty awesome prizes... and you could be a winner! Feel free to respond with questions... Let the traditional trash-talking begin:) Crane

To clarify on summerbee's post, smack talk is part of the scoring process.

Based on decades of boating with, hanging out and cooking Dutch Oven dishes with Roger, I can attest he is in the Superior Class of Smack Talkers. Ditto for boating. When Bob Stout teams up with me, we can however, make him speechless when he tries to out cook us on a Dutch Oven!!!!!!!
Yee haw, let the fun begin.
All I want is a taster kit for the DO delights that are sure to come out of this contest.....

I had never met Bob Stout until the day I got back from Rec School. He was at WalMart, and I still had boats on top of my Jeep. I heard a couple of Cowper stories, and a few others I'll keep to myself until I can use them for personal gain. I believe he should be entered in the Smack Talking hall of fame.

Bob is quite a river rat and has the stories to prove it.
A good man to float rivers with and cook DO food.

This will be my first entry into a DO cookoff, so don't be defensive. Any idea as to categories or is just a "best of show"?
