I haven't seen it yet. You probably asked because you noticed that last night the level finally dropped back to normal. My guess would be that Tigers Jaw, the Spin Hole, and the Suck hole are probably all the same. The main surfing wave and associated holes seem to be in a state of constant change now, so I would expect the same out of our recent period of extended and some very high flows. I may go by later this afternoon; I'll edit this post if I get a visual.

I went last week for the first time this year at 10,200 cfs and have not been at the new release they just turned down to, 3,380. My guess would be you could boat it but too low to have lots of vertical fun. They were running at this level before the big releases started several weeks ago and several people said it was too low to do much besdes, stern squirt the lines and side surf (tuck tight if you flip). Some of the normal level fun spots made a few folks swim (ender/cartwheel hole and river left bank wave/hole)

Go here and look for cfs greater than 3500 as a minimum. I personally like 3600-3750 but some years we get up to 4050 as "normal".

Report in if you get a look, Cowper

Hey, has anybody been out there? I know the level sounds right, but I've noticed it seems to wash out after the flow's been going for a while. Thinking about a day trip over from Memphis and would appreciate any info.

Thanks,
Michael

Made it down there yesterday for a little while. I was rusty, but the wave was good - release was something above 3600, there was plenty to do at several of our usual spots. With the level being slighty above normal, I don't have a good read for if it has changed since the end of last year, but I would say it is worth the trip to come on down.

Cowper,

Thanks for the firsthand report! Had hoped to make it over today, but it looks like we've got enough for boatball tonight so I'm probably going to shoot for a weekend trip.
