I have never had anything from Stohlquist, but I am pondering buying a drysuit from them. I'm looking at the gPod, does anyone have any experience with them? What is the customer service like? How do they compare to Kokatat Gore-Tex Meridian dry suit?

I think Matt (FarPastGone) has a Stohlquist drysuit.

My experience over several decades of using most of the major brands of this stuff is that Kokotat is the most expensive, Kokotat gore tex is the best performing even with other kokotat fabrics, Kokotat customer service is the best and Kokotat products last longer. Their gore tex dry suit and dry tops make you choke on the price, so save up and pay up if you want or need the best. Given reasonable care, their gore tex dry tops and suits will last years and years just replace the latex. Service over time will often make Kokotat goretex cheaper than other brands.

I have had good and bad results from Stolquist products over the years. Over all Stolquist comes in (my experience) second to Kokotat in durability but is much cheaper and can be picked up on sale if you look around the internet.

Others brands same experience as Stolquist except easier to pick up on sale.

If you want the best dry suit, get a Kokotat goretex with sewn in fabric feet, latex wrist and neck gaskets. It will be the most expensive.

All the others will work (sometimes well, sometimes not so well) and save you some money on the initial purchase.
