Illinois River Kwerstions for Tahlequah area

Post by GN YAKN » Sat May 28, 2011 8:00 am

Illinois River at Siloam is at around 7 ft this morning. Normal looks to be around 5 ft. 3,000 CFS with normal looking to be about 700 CFS.

Outfitters are limiting rentals to rafts, no canoes or kayaks. Oklahoma Scenic River Commission is warning of unknown debris hazards.

Anybody over in Okrahoma have some local info on the lower end around Hwy 62 and 51? How bad is it and will it be any fun on Sunday.

I'm loading up to head that way but am used to paddling the Illinois at low flows.
