The members of Venture Crew would like to thank Walter Hudson and the Arkansas Canoe Club/Piney Creeeks for their recent donation to our group. Venture Crew 300 is a coed BSA affliated group that participates in hiking and canoeing events around the area. Our main event is the National Invitational White River Canoe Race. The race is held each July and runs 120 miles over 3 days and 8 stages from Bull Shoals to Batesville. This event is in its 45th year making it one of the oldest canoeing events in the country. It was recently recognized by the United States Canoe Assoc. as the top youth canoeing event in the USA. All area paddlers are invited to participate in the "Old Timers" class at the race. You only have to be over 21 years of age. We also are in need of safety sweeps that follow the scouts down the river each day. Some ACC members have done this for us in the past.
