Rec boaters on Cossatot?
Rec boaters on Cossatot?
Posted this on the Lost and Found list, but thought a post here might help. Found yesterday, between Esses and Sandbar bridge, two nylon skirts for rec kayaks. Didn't appear to have been in the water a long time and no obvious damage. Anyone know of people having some rec boat carnage there recently? I'll be glad to return to owner. PM or email me: eubanks@obu.edu.

Re: Rec boaters on Cossatot?
When I was gearing up at Ed Banks Sat. 3 guys in rec boats went past...1 sit on top and 2 rec kayaks. They had no skirts on the boats, no helmets on the heads, the pfds were unzipped if they were wearing them....and they had a nice pile of gear bungied on top of the stern of the sit on top. Looks like they were ready for a good time. :}
When I dropped trough zig-zag there was 1 boat and 2 people on the bank river L, did not see a paddle. At the next pool down on river L were 2 boats and 1 person and a couple paddles I think....I told them that the next rapid was much more than the one they had just "run" and went on my way.
Played for 3 hrs on the way down and never saw them again. When I started the level was 5 ft. I'm thinkin they enjoyed a nice hike out, but do not know.
