Jeremy,
You would change the date! Janet and i won't be able to be here. My band will be going to 6 Flags over Texas that day. Now that is not big deal for the event. I will be here Fri. afternoon to get you guys all set up. Also will be back Sun. for those that are still here. Bummer we wanted to be here. I will tell Tiffany (COE) to be sure and be around. Glad you guys are coming to our park!

Re: Hometown Throwdown #1
Some camping info:
First the pavilion has been reserved for you guys for the weekend!
Second I will rope of sites 10 and 11 after this holiday weekend, providing they are open, for group camping.
Third you will be allowed to camp around the pavilion as in the past.
That should take care of everyone. If other sites are open and you want to camp there you can. If you need to know prices then just PM me.
Hope this helps.

Re: Hometown Throwdown #1
We're on for Hometown Throwdown #1 at Dierks THIS SATURDAY!!!! We'll be kicking off the festivities around 12:30ish. I'll be needing some volunteers to be judges. If you want to judge and participate in the throwdown, that's cool, we'll just need more volunteers. As usual there are a bunch of prizes and free stuff for give aways. If you've not been to one of these they are a lot of fun! The prizes are given away "raffle" style, so even if you don't "win" based on points you could still come away with some good stuff. Come one, come all the HOMETOWN THROWDOWN!!!

Jeremy,
Thanks for putting on a great event! I even enjoyed it despite coming in dead last.
But had lots of fun after the official event when I actually got in the hole and also watching others throw tricks.
Hope others who couldn't attend can make it out to the next Throwdown!

Thanks to all of those people who came out to attend Hometown Throwdown #1! Also thanks to the folks at worldkayak.com and all of the sponsors for providing all the prizes so we can have these events every summer.
Below is the link to some pictures and a write up on the event, along with the results.
Congrats to Garrett Mathews for winning the top prize, a pair of Smith sunglasses!
Also, thanks to Casey McIntire, Brian Gilson, and Maggie Powell for helping with the photos. All the judges and volunteers who help out with these events. Also, I believe Scott Hanshaw was shooting some video, maybe we can chide him for a quick edit.

Oh God! I don't want to relive my feeble attempts to get into the hole!
Hopefully it's at least funny to watch.

It was humorous actually! "A" for effort anyways! I'm sure everyone would have found my attempt even funnier had I been able to go.maggiepowell wrote:Oh God! I don't want to relive my feeble attempts to get into the hole!

Thanks for the video Scott.
