War Eagle Daze will be held June 3-4 in Huntsville. Activities Friday evening, June 3, include a free performance by Grammy-nominated John Two-Hawks and a showing of the film “Bridge to War Eagle” on the town square in Huntsville.

Saturday morning June 4, there’s a float at 9 a.m. on War Eagle Creek and vendors and music on the Huntsville Square where the Crossroads of the Ozarks Crafts Fair will be under way. War Eagle Daze raises awareness about why it’s important to take care of War Eagle Creek, which flows to Beaver Lake, drinking water for 420,000 Arkansans!

Hi Regud,
The website wasn't clear on an exact location for the float. Do you happen to know if there is a spot to meet for the 9 am float?
Thanks.

Wish we could make it. That's the same weekend as Rec. School on the Spring.

Thanks, Regud! The section of War Eagle Creek from the old Hwy. 412 bridge to Withrow Springs Park is absolutely beautiful with some incredibly tall bluffs.

I made that float a few years ago for war eagle days, and it was pretty scenic. A few nice bluffs, also the cave downstream of the bridge at Withrow Springs state park. Water was real low, though.
John Two-Hawks is also a treat to watch perform, he has a talent that must be heard to be believed. If anyone has seen the movie "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee," then you've heard his music. If I'm not mistaken, he provided most of the flute music for the movie. I hope everyone has a good time, I won't be able to make it due to work.
