Was looking to maybe get one of these for my son for his 11 th birthday. Just wondering if anyone had paddled one, or would even take knowledgeable opinions based on specs. I have zero kayak knowledge, but this is what they recommended at Ozark outdoors.
Him: prolly 4' 9" 80# ish. Boat: 10' long, 29.5" wide, 16.5 inches deep, capacity 275#, weight 44#. Does this sound like a good fit for him? Obviously we would be starting him out on small flat water, with the goal of eventually running things like crooked creek, south fork, myatt creek etc. I would also appreciate any input on paddle/pcs for a kid. Thx for any help.

That particular boat seems a little big for someone of his stature. Might want to look at this.
