Any interest in a lower Caddo float or Dragover tomorrow?

We're up for either one. Let us know what time and where.

Current readings are Ouachita = 3.0' and Caddo = 2.72" Looking at the last couple days, neither should change very much between now and tomorrow.

Gary and I will probably do the Buffalo tomorrow. I am trying out the demo new hero tomorrow and the Buffalo is a good level with the rain last night. The Dragover is just not up that much. If we change our minds will call you tonight.

Dragover it is. Let's meet at the Dragover camp ground by 11 in the morning. The weather and level look real nice. Perhaps we'll go a mile or so upstream to put in.
If any other folks are interested, please join in if you'd care to.

Best Regards
Jim

We're looking forward to seeing you and Beth too! Are you bringing your son, or Mel? Anytime Mel wants to come, I've already told her I'd gladly bring her a Dagger Approach & gear anytime she so desires.
See you all in the morning.

Best Regards
Jim

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your offer of boat/gear for Mel which I passed along to her. She has family visiting for the week-end so can't go this time but really hopes to join in sometime soon. Zachary is taking a pass this time so it will just be Dave & me.

Look forward to a fun (& hopefully uneventful) float tomorrow!

Beth

Wonderful float yesterday-it felt like we were the only ones on the river-a bit cold but that sort of added to the adventure.-Thanks again-ann

Thanks Ann, it was indeed a nice day overall, just a bit chilly. I did notice how warm the water is starting to get now, swimming time is close at hand :)
We had seven in our group yesterday. After deciding , again, that Fulton's Branch CG ain't a great put-in, we put-in just a little further
downstream. As we passed the Dragover CG after lunch, I was pleased to see friends Dave Holthus and Maurine Moen getting ready for the run
and enjoyed visiting with them there, and at the take-out for a few minutes. The river was at a pretty fun level yesterday.
Ann, I gave it a cursory look in the tool box for those bags yesterday, but will put a couple of brand new ones in my float kit for next time :)
I got a few pictures yesterday and will try and send some of those out later. Thanks to everyone for coming along, I always enjoy your company!

Best Regards
Jim

:D Indeed it was a good day. Uneventful; no swims and no first aid required. A bit chilly as was said earlier but everyone was prepared with proper gear. Fun was had by all. Enjoyed meeting Dave and Beth, look forward to paddling with y'all again. Mosquitos were a bit fiesty at the take out. :o Note to self:  Next time bring thermocell in float bag. Looking forward to seeing pics.

Let's Paddle
