Ocoee Trip around Memorial Day

Post by Tex2010 » Wed May 11, 2011 5:51 am

I understand there is is a decent number of people heading to the Ocoee around Memorial Day. I plan to be there too.

I'm looking to carpool with someone, so I don't have to make the late night drive alone. We can take my truck.

I was thinking of leaving on Friday before Memorial Day at some point (?noon or after work). I have several days off next week so I don't need to be back on any particular day. Maybe come back on Tuesday or Wednesday. Although, would be willing to do the usual, Friday to Monday if there is noone who can stay longer

Per haps the prospects of running water closer to home is keeping people from replying.

Be interested to hear if the flooding earlier in the year had any affects on the rapids.

Probably heading to CO for Memorial Day, where the water be cold and fast, but might end up at Ocoee / Cheoah if CO levels don't cooperate at all.

The snow pack in southern CO and NM is disappointing low this year. Northern CO is above average.
