Hey guys I was curious if anyone has ever run any of these. I've driven down to the Nuckles branch and explored around. It seems like it would be cool to say you've run the Buffalo as far up as possible. Seems like a stretch but I was curious if there are any legends out there...

I've looked at it on topo maps, but haven't heard anyone talk about it. I bet somebody has run it as the access isn't to hard. I think it would be cool to run from there all the way to confluence with the White.

On this one, you might want to wander in to the BOC in Ponca, find Mike Mills, and strike up a conversation.
Back in the days before the internet, when kayaks were 13'-2" long, and we watched the 15 minutes of weather following the 10 PM news by candle light hoping for a clue, real men of yore were running some crazy stuff in 16' canoes. Or was it crazy men were running some stuff in real boats? Whatever... Rumor is even Osage was on that list.
The Legend tells of a wall map, dutifully marked in colors by the monks who kept the map, to show what creeks in the Ozarks had been run, with new marks appearing after each major rain. The map is said to have looked much like a blood-shot eyeball.
I have never seen The Map; but I hope to some day. This is why you will see some of our trip reports beginning with "first known descent"...
