Post by The Red Prophet » Wed May 04, 2011 7:15 am

Anybody have a visual in the last day or so? Guage is jacked up. If nothing posted by the time I get Cheyenne out of school, I'll check the take out in Rudy and let ya'll know my thoughts.

Thanks

The Frog was really pouring in where it meets Clear Creek. I live in Fort Smith on a hill. My Frog gauge is the amount of water seeping out of the hill onto my driveway......still alot there so it is still running NICE!
We ran Clear from Shaberg to Mountainburg. There were some significant changes on the part above Chester due to the heavy rains according to Tom. This also includes the 6 foot waterfall that is now only 2 feet....it is gone! I talked to Tommy and he ran it last week and it was gone then!
And yes we had one swimmer at Chester but he stayed toasty in his drysuit.......now I know why I've never taken the middle line through that SUCKER... I knew it had me so I decided to try one roll and if it didn't work I was popping that skirt!!!! Good Times!!

Ran Lee last night, a lot has changed out there. Water was below the bottom step at the put in, but Buck and Flush was going pretty good, the rock that sits in the middle of the river was completely submerged. Also, the split above the surfing ledges was closed off on the right side and when you get around to the bottom there is a huge new gravel bar where the wave on the downside of the right split used to be. I think it'd probably be runnable this morning, but I wouldn't bet on this evening.

ran Shaeburg last week and wondered where the big drop was

That sucks, I really liked that rapid. Ryan Center told me it appeared out of nowhere one day, so I guess it's fitting that it disappeared the same way.

I also learned why straps have that rubber guard on the buckle.....it is so that when Tom yanks the strap off the stacker and it hits you on top of the head,it doesn't hurt at all
