What A Day!

Post by Ryan Center » Wed Apr 20, 2011 11:22 pm

As you all know by now, I broke my arm Monday last week, and surgery last Monday. Been stressed out with being jobless and stuck at home lying around. It is also been a great time and weather to be looking for morels and I couldn't go. Today I said to hell with it and went looking. Found 61. But another thing that was almost not so cool, is a rattlesnake bit my boot when i accidentally stepped on it. Thank goodness I was wearing my boots. I hope this is a sign of my luck changing for the better.

Sorry this is not a boating post!

Ryan, I honestly think you are big and tough enough that, if that s**t had bit you it would have just been an inconvenience to your day. Still glad it bit your boot. Hope that arm heals up fast!

Big Man,
Thank you for wearing your boots. I would not want a renegade
rattler running around loopy from the pain killers ingested
when it bit you.

Glad you had a turn up in luck.

Wow! 61 - what are ya gonna do with them?? Last weekend on my way to & from Eureka Springs, I saw lots of people out looking for morels. I saw one in Chelsea's that was the length of my hand from base to middle finger tip, and it was about 2 1/2 '' in diameter. By far the biggest one I've sdeen. Since you were so successful, what tips do you have for a newbie to 'shroomin'?

Good luck on fast healing on that nasty break!

We may need a shuttle bunny in the next couple of days if you are looking to get out of the house...

In paddling, those who can't do, drive the car.

Hope you're paddling again soon, Ryan. But in the meantime, if Sammy's canoe shows up at your door and says "pizza delivery", don't open it. It's just looking to finish the job.

What's your brand?

Bobtail is open for business but the shuttle is the problem. Definitely worth some beers for a shuttle driver on that one!

it would be pretty pricey beer, for you would have to detour to winslow/540 to pick me up.

I'll pick you up and have a couple of Optimators for you. Just provide the water.

Your buddy,
Fish
