I am new to the Arkansas paddling scene. I would love to know if anyone is honking of paddling tomorrow anything in the III+ to IV- range. I would love to paddle the hailstone but don't know how to Access the rain gauges to see if it will run. If anyone would like to padle tomorrow or help with any rain gauge info I would love to hear from you. I am not committed to the hailstone tomorrow so if you are going anywhere near fayetteville Please let me know.

Hailstone will run today unfortunately I just have too much other stuff going to make it that far from home today will probably just go to the Little MO.The Hailstone is simply awesome get an early start if you go and enjoy one of the greatest whitewater runs in the state.

Looks like a big Hailstone day for sure. EFLB and Richland will be fat too. Probably Bobtail... if you can figure out the shuttle. Maybe Beech if you're already there this morning and not reading this. And I am stuck on a project from hell at work... Ugh.

Work sucks. Everything is perfect right now and even at 10 am some are continuing to rise, like Lee. Maybe something will still be good tomorrow morning. Work bites.

The river is hungry for plastic. Not enough boats have been down in quite some time apparently.

Two boats had their drain plugs taken by the river. One at d falls and the other one above that by quite a ways.

Barely caught the lower side of optimal, but was still a great time with good company and worlds better than being at work!

Saw the gages above the takeout for the first time yesterday and they seemed to be fairly accurate as the hydrograph goes. Still yet there was a couple inches of variation in them in just a short distance which goes to show how split channels, migrating channels, and such constantly alter the measurement of the river level.

Think so since that is the takeout if my feeble memory serves me right. :roll:

i'm not sure which gage that is prior to the take out and not far after the barn.

Right around the beginning to middle of the willow jungles there are two sets of stick gages that I have never seen before. I guess they were added somewhat recently. They were in fairly close correlation, but not identical. i did see the usgs set up right around there as well.
