What exactly is this?

Post by c8mb » Mon Apr 11, 2011 4:14 pm

I saw this yesterday at the Ghost River and called it a mud puppy. Does anyone know the exact name for this thing? You can see a second snake trying to share at the bottom of the pic, and before we left, a third one was coming. Seeing this was the high point of the trip.... the low point was breaking my kayak paddle with over 5 miles to go and getting to paddle out with my new 115cm single blade.
