I saw the interview on the news where the tweeker -er I mean methamphetamine challenged individual- from Guy said the ground shook so hard that he lost a few teeth (although it was kinda hard to understand him, what with the missing teeth and all.) But I didn't realize the quakes were powerful enough to knock the tires and wheels off a semi. Just goes to show that the best place to be in a quake is neither inside where stuff can fall on you, or outside where you risk getting hit by an out-of-control semi. Try climbing a tree next time...

apparently pines are the best choice. around the corner from there all the hardwoods were levelled intact but the pines were undamaged. weird.
