Flood warning for some of the missouri creeks

Post by DanMo » Sat Mar 05, 2011 7:19 am

We got a lot of rain here in southern christian county. We are under a flood warning. I can hear the small waterfall roaring behind my house and that is usually a good sign.

Bull is at 7 feet. That is some mighty big water. Any of you who have not done it at that level are in for a real treat. Between 7 and 9 feet the waves are very big. There are some very big holes that form too.

Swan is most likely bigger than bull, but it does not have a gauge, and I have not looked at it yet.

It is entirely likely that some of the micro creeks around the Hurcules area will go too, but that is speculation.

I have an informational meeting this morning for school. ( I am trying to get admitted to a nurse practitioner program) I will be free after lunch. Call me and if it goes to voicemail leave a message since I am probably in a meeting.
