Natural Gas Report released (Fayetteville Shale)

Post by Cowper » Thu Feb 17, 2011 7:28 pm

I know I'm tooting a horn (you'll have to forgive me for that part), and I hope I'm not also violating a copyright:

"The Arkansas Public Policy Panel released a report this morning, detailing the risks involved with natural gas exploration at every stage of the process and listed recommendations that should be pursued by lawmakers to protect public health and the environment. Rep. Kathy Webb has filed a few legislative solutions to these problems already. The report is one of the most comprehensive I've ever seen, explaining in very readable terms what can often be very esoteric concepts and lingo associated with the industry...."

What this doesn't say is who the primary report author was - DeBo.

We're standing by for the inevitable claims pointing to any minor inaccuracy or misstatements (you can always find something), which will be used by some in an attempt to discredit the report in its entirety. Given the amount of money involved, you're more likely to see or hear a few out-of-context quotes and scathing rebuttals, than to see the actual report itself.

Don't be fooled, that's a very old trick. :hammer:

Way to go Debo!

like anything else the folks that want to try and discredit it will, like you said, but the information in and of it's self will surely contain volumes and volumes of known truths.

May I echo . . . Way to go Debo!

"Don't be fooled, that's a very old trick." Note the statement below.
We are all afflicted with Cognitive Dissonance. The greater our religious, social, financial or political affiliation, the greater the affliction. We hear what we want to hear. We believe what we want to believe. Truth becomes irrelevant.

If a 45 yo man has his blood pressure checked every 2 hours for 5 or 10 years there are going to be quite a few times when it is elevated. Most times not. I'll take hard known facts over a few instances.
