any suggestions on a carbon paddle repair job? the paddle has a big chip on the blade, but never damaged the fiber. opposite this side it has a crack a few inches long. i'm thinking about a wet/dry sandpaper down to the carbon, tape off the area, put a couple thin layers of g flex epoxy, and then sand it clean. the foam is closed cell so no worries there. anyone have any other ideas? much appreciated.

Re: carbon paddle repair
You might through some 2" fiberglass tape on there too, Since epoxy isn't actually very strong by itself, but it sounds like a pretty good plan in general.

Re: carbon paddle repair
I'll go along with Shep. A little fiberglass tape will really make the most of the glue and adds so much strength to the repair overall.. After the patch is cured you can sand it some and then apply a little' thinned' coat of additional epoxy as a top coat and the repair will be almost transparent.
