Branson area snowmelt

I crossed bull creek at lookout road last night just after dark and it was high enough that if I didn't have a lot of weight in the truck I wouldn't have done it. So upper bull is moving a lot of water in the evening much more than the gauge is indicating. Upper swan around bray mine road is also moving a lot in the evening but didn't look runnable last night. I am working on a new house right on swan creek so if any of you guys want a current report call me. (417)350-4146

Can you provide a link or description of these runs? Sorry I'm new to the area but I have a time share in Branson so I can camp out there if the runs are good.

Gannon, I would start here for descriptions for putin and takeouts. We ran upper bull from chadwick motorcycle area to a friends house by red bridge road yesterday. The level was a solid minimum with no scraping except on the bigger drops.

I took my chainsaw and cut out no fewer than six log jams. So shops open for the upper bull until the next big flood. I did leave one log that people where using for a foot bridge, and there is another big log jam that was literally in someones back yard that I left. So it should be a 1-2 portage run. Thanks Tim for carrying my saw in your canoe. (It is hard to put a 60cc saw in a creek boat).

On another note I saw the biggest beaver dam in my life. When the water goes down a little I wouldn't be suprised if it is all of six feet vertical drop. Amazing. It completely filled in one of the last ledge drops, and created a new one just downstream. Its clean and a great boof.

I am putting the finishing touches on a roof on a new house just down the road so if anyone needs a shuttle call me. I get out of class around lunchtime but I don't get phone reception at the job site so it is best to call and leave a message while I am in class. (I won't answer in class)

Hey Dan...doesn't look like the Branson area creeks are going to run, but the Finley and James are going pretty good. Matt & I are planning on hitting up one of them maybe tomorrow..he's got a new playboat he's itching to try out And maybe run the Ozark dam a few times...

Fairly new to the Board but am going to be in Springfield on Saturday. I live in OK. but have a place near Highlandville. Have floated quite a few creeks up there as a kid and now do the Finley from Riverdale down to Hootentown, James, North Fork, Upper Jacks Fork etc. Can handle most stuff but don't know if XP-10 will handle dam runs. If nothin' else would like to watch/ learn and maybe run shuttle if needed.

Can't put in at Riverdale...it's all private with no parking or trespassing. You CAN portage around the dam though, but it's a bit**.

Kinda rambled in my post. Sorry tryin to get my #@$% together to get up there. Are you talking about runnin the dam in Ozark? Would like to watch/ help if I can. I have put in a Riverdale and 160 bridge many times, just don't leave a car. Have a good wife who drops me off.

Upper bull at center road has now dropped below minimum. It ran for 3 days though.

Seth, as much as I would like to see matt huck his new playboat, I already floated twice this week when I could have been working. Have fun.
