ACC Winter Retreat: Sat 2/5 Lunch & Hike

A couple activities on Saturday if you are attending this weekend's ACC winter retreat (and board meeting) and would like to meet up with some fellow club members...

Saturday Afternoon Hike

After lunch at Ozark Café, those interested in joining us for an afternoon hike will carpool together to either Hawksbill Crag (3 mile round trip hike) or Lost Valley (2.3 mile round trip). First choice is Hawksbill Crag, but if we decide the steep road to this trail head will be difficult to navigate due to snow and ice, then we’ll go to Lost Valley instead which will be easier to get to. Both are easy hikes with stunning scenery!

There will still be some snow on the ground and/or some wet and muddy conditions, so bring some boots or an extra pair of shoes to change back into after the hike!

If anyone wants to join our afternoon hike but doesn’t want to meet us at Ozark Café, then we’ll also be stopping by the Buffalo Lodge at 1pm to pick up any others interested in coming along (and possibly to consolidate vehicles for carpooling).

We’ll be back at the Buffalo Lodge with plenty of time to warm up with some hot cocoa and prepare for the potluck dinner that starts at 6pm.
