New Bunkhouse at Richland

We are on the verge of moving an 18x40ft building onto Bpaddling Ranch. Not sure when exactly when this will occur, but probably within the next 3 months. Looking for sugestions on where to put it? Down by the old hog barn, up by the cabin? Or on the piece of property just as you come thru the gate? Looking to make it available for paddlers as well as OHT hikers. Oh, by the way, may need help cutting out some trees, so that the building can be moved onto the property. Any thoughts would be helpful. dale

I have a feeling you may have just summoned every chainsaw in Arkansas. That sounds awesome. Do we need to coordinate a Bobtail cleanout session as well?

Thanks. At this point, we are thinking of building some bunks and letting folks use their pad and bags to sleep. haven't had time to think much beyond that, although we will need to cut some windows in, a front door, and close in an end(right now, the building has a set of double doors in one end),maybe build a rock wall in that end, so we can put a wood burning stove in. Still would like some input on where to place the building. Putting it just inside the gate would have the advantage of less trees to cut, beside the old hog barn would require more cutiing, but less hassle to get electricity, by the present cabin, same amout of cutting, less hassle for E, and possibly access for water(eventually), but resulting in less space for parking, Halloween party, etc. dale

Everyone here is correct. The Barton's are the BEST! They would give you the shirt off their back's if you needed it. They are the most caring and giving people we know. Sounds like there is going to be alot of helping hands when the time comes. It would probably be a great help for all of us to donate some $$$ to help with the cost of moving the bunk house, supplies for electricity, lumber, rocks and etc. Just let us know when you have a work weekend scheduled.
Thanks! Karen Buccella
