Happening Now Jenks OK 6:53 am Tuesday

Went to bed with dry pavement.
Got up at 6:30 am to let our little Auzzie Shepard out for a whiz break.
Opened the door to awesome winter scene.
Snow over my hiking boots. Wind blowing and snow out the yeng yang.
Have not seen anything like this since living in Park City Utah.
No car tracks on my street. First time I can remember the newspaper guy did not make it.
Police now reporting that officers at work are asked not go home and stay at the station. Many police cars stuck, as they are two wheel drive Dodge Challengers, big engines but not much use in this. KRMG.com is showing video of them driving around in their 4WD Jeep. They and the police say stay home. People are calling in from major highways to the radio news saying they are stuck and running out of gas asking for help.
If this holds together over NW Arkansas, brace yourselves.
Snow plows are stuck, drivers that were out last night have abandoned vehicles in the road and creating big problems. Officials are warning that if you get stuck you are on your own. And, the wind chill is past bone chilling to the killing stage now at minus 3 and going lower.
Radio sez it will blow wind and snow all day hopefully tapering off this evening.
I hope Fish and crew miss the snow if they are out searching for excitement. Plenty for me and the dog just getting out in the driveway!
