My wife and I drove in to a remote area on the northwest shore of lake Ouachita called three fingers and enjoyed a nice sunny afternoon with the high around 50.
There are a lot of pockets and coves in this area and it holds a lot of wildlife. We saw several eagles fly by and water turkeys were numerous.
The deer seemed to know hunting season ended and we saw several.
Gulls were catching fish and crows were being rowdy and mouthy.
Had to pay attention and not get high centered on a stump. The lake is as low as it has ever been.

not tryin to say you guys don't.... but
It could be some of these most awesome pics come from a good eye and reflexes. Not saying some of what makes these great shots can't be taught, but some of it is sheer skill/talent? jus sayin?
You sure this is on the right channel?

yup, got to agree with Clif.
used to boat, climb and cave with several professional photographers back in Georgia.
some parts of photography can be taught, I know I got great schooling from my GA buds. I know I would shoot rolls of 35mm color and was thrilled to get one or more "good" images. My buds would shoot a roll and every image (except when they made plus and minus settings) would look like "wall hanger" quality to me. Those were the days of light meters and bracket shots for scenes you wanted to be "right".
the basics of image composition can be taught as well.
my opinion, Dan's work goes past book or school learning.
There is a ton of natural artist's "eye" for setting up a shot that Dan's work high lights.
Good work Dan, I never tire of looking at your work. Thanks for sharing it here.
