Disclaimer: I am not an ACC Board Member. Opinions expressed are mine and mine alone, NOT an official "ACC position".
The ACC Board would like to see improved member turn-out and participation at the upcoming meeting in early February. I think they know that a board meeting will never replace "general" meetings of the club, but at the same time the Board does want more input and participation from members on the issues that those individuals care about the most.
To facilitate that, all past Board Meeting minutes have now been posted on-line in the "Members Only" area, under ACC Publications. Basically, everything from the last meeting of 2003, up to and including the "draft, not yet approved" minutes of the most recent Board meeting in October, 2010 is now posted.
Conspiracy theorists will note that we are missing one set of minutes in 2005, and another in 2009. I don't have all the details, but I'm pretty sure that those were the meetings where we were talking about YOU and plotting the overthrow of the Missouri Whitewater Association.

This has been talked about for a long time.
Publishing the BOD minutes for all members to have easy access, is in my opinion, a very easy way to get member feedback and do away with all the bad guesses on what the ACC BOD agreed to.
This is a excellent move forward and I very much appreciate the good work of those who both create and publish these minutes.
It's a good thing!

FYI - past (and current) copies of the newsletter are also online in the same place, under the Member Only section called ACC Publications.
Remember, if you aren't receiving your newsletter how you want it (either via email or via hardcopy), you can login and check your Member Preferences to make sure you are signed up correctly, and also to check to make sure we don't have your correct, up to date address info.
And regardless of how you receive the newsletter, you can always login and check out the latest issue or previous issues.
Cheers!
Heather

Re: ACC Board Meeting Minutes Now On-Line
Hi all,
Here's a quick reminder/tutorial on how to login as an ACC Member:
First, go to the ACC Home page (not the ACC Message Board): http://www.arkansascanoeclub.com/
In the upper right, you will enter your login. All ACC Member logins are the email address associated with your membership. (This is NOT the login/username you might use for the ACC message board.)
If you have ever logged in before, enter your password. If you have never logged in as a member before, then use the "forgot password" link and follow the instructions to set your password. The system will send an email to your email address with a link to set the password: if you don't get the email, be sure to check that it wasn't sent to a "junk" email folder.
Once you are logged in, there is a menu item on the far left towards the bottom that says Member Only, and there is a sub menu for ACC Publications.
If you are not sure what email is associated with your membership or if your membership is still active, feel free to email membership@arkansascanoeclub.com and I will try to look it up for you as soon as I can.
Thanks!
