Paddling in Shreveport

Post by White Rock Navy » Sat Jan 22, 2011 8:35 am

Hello all! Ned in Shreveport here and I'm new to this group. I'm looking for flatwater paddlers interested in working out with me here as I get ready for the Tour du Teche next October, in South Louisiana.

I got hooked on this craziness last year when I did the MR340. I finished - WAY at the back of the pack - but I finished. For the TdT I'd like to make a better showing.

So, if anyone's in this area and interested in hitting Cross Lake for some workouts (once the weather warms up) get in touch.

And, if i can put together a trailer to pull the 'yak around behind my Miata I hope to meet some of y'all northerners from Arkansas.

Ned:

Come by Shreveport's REAL PICKLE sandwich shop Wed Feb 2 at 6:00 pm and visit with the local chapter of the Arkansas Canoe Club. REAL PICKLE is at 855 Pierremont Rd (corner of Line Ave and Pierremont), phone 869-0931.

There's always a number of local paddlers with various interests at the meeting. We'd like to meet you and hear about your paddling interests.

Hope to see you Wednesday Feb 2. Send me a PM if you'd like more info.
