USGS Water Alert: New Service!

Post by DeBo » Thu Jan 13, 2011 7:24 pm

Stan Speight at the Cossatot State Park just clued us in to a new service from USGS. You can sign up to be notified when your favorite stream gages hit a certain level, “defined by you,” and you will receive a text or email telling you that your creek is ready to go. You can also send a text or email to any gage and get the latest update on your phone. Check out the site and sign up!

Thanks Stan!

This is a great feature! But it kind of "rub's it in" too when you can't go!

Someone posted this info/feature on the board last Spring. Until the first of this year, it hasn't been texting me at all for several months. Must have been broke for awhile. LOL
