Pictures of Cadron Creek at its lowest
Pictures of Cadron Creek at its lowest
We drove up to northern Arkansas last weekend with the Kruegers and stopped by Cadron to have a look. These pictures tell it all. So dry. Marlo picked up broken pieces of glass in the middle of the river at the takeout 65 bridge area. So sad to see it this low. Praying for lots of rain.
Now would be the time to clear some debrie if able. Would have to walk the whole thing or drag a boat along.

Click on the pictures to get bigger views and better idea of some of the logs across the upstream part.

FYI. I have been up here since 95. Have seen it worse in the late 90s. Not positive about that section but for sure up my way. You look up any records on that?
You sure this is on the right channel?

You rang?
Was out at Pinnacle / Little Maumelle today. Not much to do; prior efforts had already accomplished 98% of what was needed. But it was still good to hear the buzz of the saw, if only for a few minutes. Mostly just drug a boatload of glass bottles and other debris out of the pool. (P.S. - Marlo, thanks for getting that glass out of Cadron. I HATE glass in the river.)
Got the 'ol electronic leash on this weekend; somewhat limited on my options.

Didn't forget, but no can do! (You must have missed that thread several months back.)Karla wrote:Don't forget the big tree across the river at Barking dog rapid. You guys go for it.
This one has a root-wad that appears to be the last thing holding up a major bank collapse, which will change the character of the current owner's access. If the current landowner decides to take it out, I can't stop that, but I don't think we should make the decision for him.
