MORE HPER U of A PRACTICE SESSIONS NEEDED

The HPER at the University of Arkansas is offering two rolling clinics and only one practice session per semester at the pool. We need more practice sessions! We spoke with one of the staff members to see if they could allow weekly practice sessions and they said they would if there was more interest. I couldn't believe that more people aren't utilizing this great asset. I believe if more people knew about the practice sessions that this area would have enough boaters to support at least 6- 8 boaters in the pool per week for a two hour session. Moreover, the sessions are free to students and $5 for non-university.

I for one believe the pool is an excellent way to work on your roll and perfect your paddling mechanics. I know it is helping me. They said if more people called and e-mailled the Oudoor Connection Center that they would probably open up the schedule for more sessions.

Help me get some support for the Northwest Arkansas boaters to have a refuge to hone in on their skills.

Posting on their facebook page could help out too, at least its visual for other people to see. If a dozen people post they want more roll sessions, that would pretty much take up their entire page.

Great Idea! I would defiantly be interested in more sessions. Especially since there has been very little rain. It would definitely be beneficial to at least keep that roll honed in.

Thanks guys for helping me voice support for more practice sessions, but they responded on their facebook wall that they will implement them in the spring. There is no reason why they shouldn't go ahead and add the classes now! Its only a two hour practice session at night when hardly anyone else uses the pool. Moreover, the hper makes a small revenue off of the boaters that will attend. Please help me reach out to them so they know that there is a large boater community in NWA that will utilize the pool in the winter months.
