Needing some info on levels and takeouts and such for the Kings below 62 in Berryville. My dad, brother, b-inlaw, and couple others are going to overnight tomorrow either there or middle Buffalo.
Thanks in advance

Re: Kings River Info
Call Ernie at King's River Outfitters. He's knowledgeable, helpful, and can even be good for a shuttle or the like. 479-253-8954
The Kings is also covered in Canoeing and Kayaking Guide to the Ozarks which is a book worth having in my view!

Ernie at kings river outfitters handles rentals and shuttles for the sections above hwy 62. I have floated/fished below 62 a few times.
You don't need as much water below 62 as you do above 62 to make for a good fishing/float trip. 2.8 is till doable with the low 3's being good for float fishing The public takeout below 62 that I know of is stoney point which is maybe 12 miles or so. There is another one on river right maybe 2 or so miles below stoneypoint. There is a private outfitter take out near the 88?bridge that makes for a 6 mile float. Fishing has always been really good for me on that sections in the 1st say 8 miles of it. lots of boulders and stuff for the big brownies. Good river camping was very limited on that section due to lots of private land and not many gravel bars till you get say 8ish miles downriver at it open ups a bit and gets more gravely. There used to be a canoe rental place near the 62 bridge that would do shuttles on the lower part. Its been a few years since I have been down that sections.

Re: Kings River Info
Late report.....
Ended up overnighting on the Rockhouse to Trigger Gap stretch at Ernie's suggestion following the rainfall on the 24th. At a level of 3.22 when we shoved off there were no places that we had to get out of loaded kayaks. It could've happened if you weren't attentive to correct route though. We got a much later start Friday than originally anticipated, so, we only managed about a mile or so of river before we needed to set up camp. Chose a nice long gravelbar on RR and set up for the night. The moon was full and bright providing for some good night fishing through the fog in the deep hole at camp. Up on Saturday morning to cool foggy air. We broke camp and shoved off for the remaining 6 miles or so. The fishing was spectacular in number. The size of the fish were less than spectacular, but fun to catch none the less. The further we went downstream, the less important correct route became. We had a great time at a bare minimum level with loaded kayaks. We saw 3 other canoes on Saturday that caught us as we very slowly fished and floated along. Good trip! Still want to go below (downstream) of 62 toward MO for some fishing sometime.
