Clear creek good to go

Post by Sir Kayakalot » Thu Sep 09, 2010 8:56 pm

Prophet, Jason g., Aaron, Dave Thomas
and myself ran clear creek this evening
at a decent level. We had a great run and
if anyone plans on hittin it in the morning
the only spot to be concerned about is a
strainer on river right, just past the 2nd
interstate bridge, other than that there's
no issues. Have fun!

Good times! I was a little reluctant at first with the level at 16.96 at 5:00. However, thanks to Tommy's motivation, I ended up making the trip to Chester. Today I learned that the gauge for Clear Creek can be very deceiving due to how fast the water drops off. We put on at 6:00 and there was NO way the level was even close to 16.96. I'd say it was probably half that. Turned out to be a awesome run. Even paddling with a bunch of pesky yakers. :poke:  :D
Paddle on,
Dave Thomas
