This streamgage is under consideration to be discontinued on September 30, 2010, due to funding reductions. Please contact the Oklahoma Water Resources Board at 405-530-8934 or the U.S. Geological Survey at 405-810-4404 for inquiries.

I just talked to the Oklahoma Water Resources Board at the above listed #. The lady was very nice and will document all calls regarding this gauge closure.....If you ever think you might want to catch this stream when it's up, I would ask that you make the phone call and tell them you want them to keep the gauge operational! Even if you don't want to run it, if you paddle, call anyway. If you don't I will send the crazy wister wave guy after you!!!!! Right Ricky Rod???????

Rite-on Gary. this guage is very important to all of us here in the poteau mountains. We need not let this guage go without a fight .

So to all of you yakers, canoers, or anybody who loves the outdoor. this is our home stream ,please HELP by showing your suport.
Gary lives right on the river.
Hell this river is the reason I met CAPTN TOM, and John from Tulsa, and Gary.
And the wave/hole at freemanhole is the s#!t, just ask me, or Gary,Jason Grey,tom, john,michelle,jack h. we all have had a great time there.
I can see saving money on other things but not this.
Last winter Tom and I had no where else to paddle so we put on in 15 deg. weather and floated, played, FROZE, and saw over fifteenEagles hunting this river. AWSOME.
It takes mabee five min. of your time an you'll feel great about helping.

And IF you hav'nt met Gary R. your missing out . he's right up there with Jason G. and David M. from TEX. the greatest people you'll ever meet. I'm lucky to have great freinds like these.
