ACC Night at Old Town Grain & Feed in Fort Smith
Beginning this Tuesday, September 7th, Tuesdays will be Arkansas Canoe Club Night at Old Town Grain and Feed at 503 Garrison Avenue in Fort Smith. Come on out and enjoy a cold beverage and get to know your fellow club members. It's a great time of year to tell all of those boating stories until the rains fall again and we have new ones to tell! It's also Open-Mic night so maybe we can get Dave or Jody to come on out and entertain us as well. All ACC members (any chapter) will receive happy hour specials all night long .... Happy Hour begins around 4; try to stop by for a bit after work if you can. Hope to see you there!

Sounds like a good time. Old Town is a nice place to hang out.

Thank you to the folks at Old Town Grain and Feed for hosting ACC Night every Tuesday. Along with being a huge supporter of local singers, songwriters and musicians Old Town can now add local paddlers to the list.

Just a reminder that ACC Happy Hour Night is happening Tuesday at Old Town Grain and Feed from 4 'til ?. There are rumors that there will be at least one of our own ACC members taking the stage during open-mic. In addition, The Woodsman Co. and Mohawk Canoes have donated door prizes to be given away during the night. I hope to see ALL you ADULT paddlers there!

Yepper, ACC members may take advantage of the all night long, happy hour discount any Tuesday from 4 'til close. Shannon has a list behind the bar so you don't have to worry about bringing proof of membership. However, with an exception for tonight, the door prize giveaways and activities will be on the second Tuesday of the month directly after the River Valley's meeting at La Huerta across the street. By all means though, feel welcome to drop by Old Town any Tuesday for open-mic and to get your ACC discount on beverages.Sasquatch wrote:Is there one tonight?

I took advantage of my ACC discount last night. Got to play some music in a three piece combo for about an hour! Reminded me of when we used to gather there several years back.
Thanks Dave T for putting this together.

Well Dave, I forgot my camera but I managed to get a poor quality pic of you guys with my phone. Thanks again for the ear candy. You guys sounded great together. I especially enjoyed YOUR tune Snowbird.

Man, what potential!
If anyone does the math, we may end up with a bunch of new ACC members who think "thwart" is a verb, instead of a noun.
And who knows what will happen if you ask that cute person next to you if they want to go paddling? Could turn our very good, or very bad, in more ways than one.

Darn kayakers.
Don't even know what a thwart is. And to think you tried to pass yourself off to me as a "former open boater"....

Thirsty? Head on down to Old Town tonight. Be sure and let Shannon, the bartender, know you're an ACC member so she can give you the discount. Cheers!
