Anyone know where I can buy a Mohawk paddle? Thanks.

Have you contacted Mohawk? Ozark Outdoors in Little Rock still stocks some, the narrower of the two blades. I got one (wide blade) several years ago directly from Mohawk. Also got my solo air bags from them.

Thanks Tim. I'll check out their website, probably can get them there. I didn't know if anyone locally sold them. I've ordered air bags from them also.

I know Ozark OUtdoors has some, but they are the narrow ones, 7", I think, various lengths.

Like I said, it has been several years on the paddles. They are good for the price, especially compared to the options.

That's why I was looking for Mohawk, they seem to be decent paddles for the money, for kids floating on the buffalo, etc. I'll check with Louis too.

Thanks for the info.

I got my Mohawk paddle from Chicago Canoe Base. http://www.chicagolandcanoebase.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(773) 777-1489)
You will have to call, (no on-line orders). He has a very interesting web site and he had a complete selection of sizes when I ordered mine paddle earlier this year. I received my paddle via snail-mail in about 3 days. The owner is a very interesting guy to talk to and loves talking about anything doing with canoes.

I see that Chicagoland Canoe Base is for sale. Maybe they're offering special discounts. They've got some sweet boats in their inventory. Someone's gonna be happy to get that pie in the sky. Not sure what they're asking for it, but I'm sure that it's more than what's in the ol' piggy bank. (:

Dave, Does Mohawk make a 9" with a 58" shaft? Or, are we limited to 57" or 60"? Thanks! Crane

I'm not sure on that one Crane. I know their order form doesn't list a 58" paddle but that doesn't mean that the 57" paddle isn't actually a little longer or vice versa. I saw that a previous reply said that Two Brothers canoes in Garfield carries Mohawk Paddles. I would give Louis a call at 479-270-5353 and ask him.
By the way, Mohawk Canoes and Mohawk Paddles are owned by different folks. However, Mohawk Canoes is talking with blade designers/builders about selling their carbon and wood paddles through our website and two shops. I hope to have a wooden demo made by ZAP Paddles available at Rendezvous. That is as long as one of those pesky Waldens Ridge paddlers don't hijack it on it's way from Chattanooga. (:

Ozark Outfitters has a few Mohawk paddles in stock. I purchased one for $22 as a spare for the Lower Canyons trip... The 57" is very close to 58" and will suit my needs fine! Thanks for bringing this thread up! Crane
