Heard anything about the Wavesport Fuse?

Consider upgrading from my 2 Fun to a Fuse. Seems more versatile, I've heard good things, just wondering if anyone's paddled one.
Thanks,
Katie.

I paddled one that was too small for me, but I loved it. I'd really like to try out the 63 but haven't been anywhere near one. Ozark mountain trading co has some 54's you could try out.

Katie - ask Richard Lancaster. I think he used to paddle one. Why don't you like the 2Fun anymore?

I will. The outfitting is killing me, its wayyy to high maintenance. I mean the boat itself is awesome, but I am getting too tall for it and I don't think gutting it and putting new outfitting would be worth it. Plus I 'm a huge fan of Wavesport!
Thanks!

Hey Katie,
Got to demo a Fuse 48 last week at the Salida Playpark. First off, I'm no surfer. But I am real impressed with the Fuse 48.
I'm 5'9'' and about 155lbs and the boat felt real stable in the wave. I have a first generation All-Star and the Wavesport felt much more stable.
The outfitting is very comfy. I prefer the Wavesport outfitting over the Jackson outfitting....

Just My 2 cents.... :D :D :D

Thanks Tom!
Thats what I've been hearing. I'm checking out Richard Lancaster's on Saturday at Surf N' Turf! We'll see how that plays out.
Thanks!

Well, I got out on flat water and tried the new Fuse. I had a hard time getting the stern down for a little while, then I got it figured out.
After about an hour on flat water I was bow and stern stalling it pretty well. It just was different and took a while to get dialed in.
It rolls well and paddled through strokes and maneuvers well. Now I can't wait to get it on some whitewater!
Also, the outfitting is very comfy!

Well, I ordered mine online from Outdoorplay up in Hood River, Oregon. I could only find them at a couple of places.
Outdoorplay has free shipping and no sales tax. This is the third boat that I have bought from them.
I saw today that CKS has them on sale for about $100.00 dollars less, but they have significant shipping charges so not much difference. You could contact them and discuss how much it would cost you.
I would prefer to buy locally, but could not find what I was looking for as far as product and convenience.

Outdoorplay now has the Fuse on sale for $785.36. Now that is a deal.

O.K., thursday when the big rain hit I got to paddle the Fuse on West Cedar!
Having got up too late to catch creek boaters ( I got off work at 12:30 am ) I thought I had missed out, but I recieved a call
from a crew headed to West Cedar. It was bigger than I had ever seen it by at least 2-3 feet. Big, Big, Big!!!
We waited for the level to drop into a sane level!
At a high optimal level we put on.
Anyway the Fuse was great, it felt pretty stable, crashed holes well , ferried outstandingly, and had good hull speed for a small boat!
It surfed real good and caught holes well!
I think I'm going to love this boat!
Oh, and for those interested, the stopper hole halfway to the bridge from the put-in has changed some. It had shoulders on it and looked boxed in. It did'nt look very forgiving! None of us tangled with it! :hammer: You should have seen it when we first got there, it looked like a 10-12 foot wall of foam!

Picked up my shiny new 64 today. Can't wait to give it a flatwater test tomorrow. Now all we need is rain.

Took it out to the lake for a bit this morning and my initial reaction is LOVE.
Rolls like a dream, changes direction with the slightest effort and seems to have incredible secondary stability.
I can not wait to get it in some moving water.
