With 100degrees projected for Saturday, it looks like another great day to float the cool water of the Ouachita!
We'll be meeting any interested parties at the Ledge boat ramp at noon to consolidate :)

Best Regards
Jim

Jim, the Dodson clan will be there if we don't have to make an emergency trip to Alabama. Does anybody have a loaner kayak paddle that my wife can use? She just got a new rec kayak.

Below is the text of the flow release email that Entergy sent out Tuesday:

-- Flow Release Plans --

The Corps of Engineers is releasing about 3,000 cubic feet per second (CFS) from Blakely Mountain Dam from 9 AM to Midnight daily. Carpenter Dam will be releasing about 3,600 CFS from about 11 AM to 10 PM daily. Remmel Dam will be releasing about 3,600 CFS from 10 AM to Midnight.

Starting Wednesday morning for the next 72 hours the Corps will be releasing about 3,000 CFS from Blakely Mountain Dam around the clock. This flow will be matched by the downstream Carpenter and Remmel Dams. Flow will be returned to the above pattern on Sunday morning.

The Corps is also releasing about 3,000 CFS from DeGray from about 2 to 8 PM daily.

Richard, and Randy, What a treat to know you both, and family members, are coming! It should be a great afternoon! The water will be running as it has every day this month, as far as I know, so that should be fine. I may go ahead and plan to bring my flat-bed utility trailer on Saturday in the event it may be of use. If any of you should care to, you can ride up to the put-in while leaving your vehicles at the take-out for a convenient departure if you like. The float was really nice last weekend. Since it's so hot, it was very refreshing. :D Randy, I will bring an extra kayak paddle if it should be needed.

Best Regards
Jim
