Danny,
Many years ago I had to travel up to Ft. Chaffee with the Ark. Nat. Guard several Summers in a row, at any rate I always came up from the South to enter the base near Greenwood and saw a couple of interesting-looking lakes but never had the time to check them out further. Right outside of Greenwood are two lakes with public access; Jack Nolan Lake and Greenwood Lake. The other lakes I saw were old quarrys I presume, they were right beside Hwy 96 North of Greenwood and just before entering the base. It looks like one is designated as a fish hatchery but there seemed to be several. They looked deep and clear and I always wanted to put my yak in but never found out if they were open to the public. If you get a chance to check any of this out, please let me know what you find out. Dave Robertson (GnYakin) lives up that way and may also have some info. Happy Fishing
Best Regards
Jim
