Post by Phil W. » Thu Jun 03, 2010 8:34 pm

Is anybody doing anything this weekend? If nothing comes up I may do a drag up a creek for some fishing. Especially, as far as fishing, the Illinois Bayou. For fishing and scavenger hunting the Big Piney from Longpool up to ??? Let me know if your interested.

Floating the nice cool waters of the White River below Beaver Dam for 13.4? miles in seakayaks and canoes is what we have planned.

Meeting at 9AM sharp Saturday morning at the parking lot at the base of the dam to go run shuttle to the town of Beaver. You are welcome to join us. Look for a Blue over gray two tone 1989 4WD Suburban with orange pool noodles on the front two racks.

Sunday is still up in the air until we meet with the members of the Kansas City Sea kayaker's club Saturday night.

Thinking of floating from Beaver tailwaters down about 8 miles to my nephew's cabins. I float in a 12 ft. Native Manta Ray SOT. Will I need to drag considerable distances?
