Just read the flow report, dated today, it indicated Lake Ouachita should be down out of flood pool by Friday when they would reduce the flows from the 6000 range they've been maintaining to about 4000. On Sat. & Sun. about 4500, then by Monday trying to establish a more regular generation schedule for the month.
From looking at the gauge currently, they really have shut it down to the maintenance flow. Could just be an equipment maintenance need, or , hopefully not, some swimmer emergency downstream.

Beats me... I figured since it was running what it was, they would bring it on up.

Boof,

You say the river isn't running? The gauge shows it's running almost 2800cfs since the wee hours of this morning to present. Please report back if that's not the case.

New update was just sent:

-- Flow Release Plans --

The Corps continues to release about 3,000 CFS around the clock from Blakely Mountain Dam, and this should continue throughout the weekend. These flows will be matched downstream by Carpenter and Remmel dams. We will re-evaluate everything on Monday and try to set a release schedule that should work for the rest of the month.

The Corps is releasing about 3000 CFS at Degray from about 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

*************

Bummer - yesterday it had seemed like we had at least one more day of big water. Not sure what happened. Waaaah!!!
I've heard that into every life a little of it must fall,
but you'll never catch me complaining about too much of that southern rain.

Not sure if another 300cfs is going to do much... Guess I'm going to wait for the gauge update, and if it's not good... Heading back to Texas :-/
